The u10s with plenty of new faces kicked off the season at home to an already established Sherwood side. With many of the girls switching rolls throughout the game this was more for development than results, as it will be for the forthcomimg season. Both sides did have dominating periods but sherwood took there chances. Alice Thompson was brave in goal just like last season, clutching balls from the feet of the opposition. The trio of first timers, Ellie Barrow, Rosie Bradley and Paris Greenham gave a great account of themselves as did Chelsea Musgrove dropping in on several positions for the whole game.Lucia Wardle grew braver over the summer as she landed her 1st goal! with a clinical finishing from the speedy Phoebe Wardle Collins who again netted from her persistance on goal. Elena Gale gave a business like display as usual with strong tackles and great ball distribution, but limped off 5 mins from the end with a swollen ankle. A good experiance for all today, tired towards the end and slightly sunburnt but well done girls.
