Notts County under 11s entertained NG united on a sunny morning at Church Lane. The hosts started brightly, immediately on the attack with Tashan Keeling slotting balls through from mid-field into striker Siobhan Simms who was always looking likely to get on the score sheet today. The defence of Megan Green and Freya Strom were not letting the visitors passed with timely tackles and clearances to feet. County opened their score sheet when Siobhan slotted home and then moments later increased their lead with a rocket of a shot from a wide position into the top far corner. The second period saw County go onto double their lead with a brace from Tashan Keeling who’s first was a delightful tap in and her second a solo effort taking players on in a wide position to cut inside and slot the ball in the near bottom corner. Rebecca Shelton’s work rate never dropped as she was battling hard in mid-field and was setting up attack after attack, at the other end the defence were holding up well and the player of the match was awarded to Megan Green who’s confidence grew throughout the game and never put a foot wrong. A great team performance, well done
