Notts County Under 11s travelled on a dull damp Sunday morning away to a strong Southwell side. The girl’s set themselves some targets within the game and executed these well. Rebecca Needham went in the goal for the first 20 minutes of the game and full backs Rosie Bradley and Ellie Barrow were getting out wide when in possession and looked to either run or pass the ball forward. Mia Harrison playing centre mid was working hard to protect the defence and win possession back. Sally Warsop-Hook and Ameliyah Rimmell were looking to link up well in attack. The final 20 minutes Notts County were looking to press quickly and deny Southwell too much time on the ball and to some extent this was working as County began to create a number of goal scoring chances. Player of the match was awarded to Rosie for her hard work and intelligent play. The girls are at home next week to Westbridgford and again the mini pies will be looking to improve on this week’s performance as they piece together their developing jigsaw.
