Today Notts County under 11’s played against West Bridgeford, with only 5 available due to holidays, the girls battled amazingly. Starting with Sally Warsop-Hook in goal, Rosie Bradley and Rebecca Needham in defence and Ameliyah Rimell and Mia Harrison full of energy in middle and up front. The girls worked hard to prevent WestBridgford from getting a clear attack on goal in the first 5 min and started to find each other with some lovely passing moves, falling behind after about 10 min. The girls head didn't drop and they continued to battle. Being on the back foot at half time we changed it round a little and put Rebecca Needham in goal and Sally Warsop-Hook in midfield ... Sally was full of running and Rebecca pulled off some wonderful saves. Ameliyah Rimell was full of running all game and kept battling to win the ball back and pass to her supporting team mates. Mia Harrison produced an amazing run the length of the pitch, she continued to show her strength by produced a number of strong runs, releasing pressure on the defence. Unfortunately Westbridgford scored a couple more goals to put the game beyond Countys reach, due to injury we had to make changes with Rosie Bradley going in goal and Rebecca Needham taking her position in centre mid. Both working very hard to keep the score line low. Today we did have opportunities in front of goal, but good goal keeping prevent us from getting a deserved goal. The girls are taking everything mentioned in training and applying It in games, Which is great to see. Today's Player of the match was Ameliyah Rimell, for her battling team and individually performance.
