Another great away performance from the mini pies today, coming up against a good and well organised Bingham side. The girls took the lead with a goal from Tia Wheelhouse before falling behind to 3 good goals from the home team. But the pies came out fighting in the 2nd half to produce a great come back with Tia scoring her 2nd goal of the game, before Millie Morley produced what’s got to go down as goal of the season firing the ball in from just inside her own half. The match was then end to end with some great defensive displays from player of the match Brianna Brown in goal and also Grace Mcgee who once again was solid at the back. Going forward we always looked like scoring with Isla Newbury running there defenders ragged. a hard fought game of which both sets of players should be proud well done girls!!!!!

The mini magpies travelled across the Trent on a cold damp morning to Westbridgford. The hosts having a large squad available opted to play 4x10mins which was to favour the home team as Countys under 9s were flagging towards the end. Tasia Bruce in the County net was the busier of the keepers as the mini pies looked to strike on the counter with Carlie Bown and Ellie May Bramley linking up well going forward. Countys defence in Kayleigh Street, Brianna Brown and Poppy Waller were making good tackles into Cody Burton in mid-field. The Magpies found the back of the net thanks to an individual effort from goal machine Carlie. Player of the match was awarded to Tasia with comments from the oppositions coach saying that Tasia was the best keeper they had come across in the under 9s league, well done Tasia and all the girls.

Notts County Ladies under 9s today were terrific as they welcomed Underwood Villa to Church Lane. Within 10 seconds of the start, goal machine Carlie Bown had the ball in the back of the net. Villa soon re-organised and contributed to a great game of football played in the right spirit. Carlie was causing the visitors problems when she had the ball at her feet as she kept it close and ran at the defence. Mid-field duo of Ellie May Bramley and Cody Burton battled hard and were not afraid to run the ball forward and provide for Carlie. The defence partnership of Brianne Brown and Poppy Waller defended the goal well and offered outlets for the keeper Tasia Bruce who was called upon in the final 5 minutes and was outstanding which earned her the player of the match award. All County’s five goals came from outstanding play and deadly finishing from Carlie Bown. Well done girls on a terrific performance.
