Impressive display from Notts County Ladies Senior Development team with a resounding 6 - 1 win against Bingham Town. A bright start from all players saw them have all the possession and a great cross from player of the match Eleanor Brooks saw a cracking header from returning striker Katrina Bloomer to make it one nil. Continued pressure and some clever corner play created a chance for Cath Eyley to swing in a cross that ended up a shot and in the back of the net. Bingham created their own chances and made it 2-1 at the break. Lauren Betteridge managed to drag herself out of her 18th birthday celebrations for her first game of the season and new keeper Chelsea Taylor worked hard with her defenders.mA second half was impressive again as captain Ellie “mazza” Marriott stepped up for a corner and ended up putting it in the back of the net. Jessie Knott and Kirsty Peat played really well again and Peat's shot was followed in well for Charley MacLaren to nip in and score. Mazza and Nicola Tomkinson along with Jess Wibberley tidied up at the back and the final glorious sixth goal was created by Eleanor Brooks for Cath to get her well-deserved hat trick.

Notts County Ladies Development 1st team entertained Retford United Ladies FC at their new home at Coronation Park the home of Eastwood Town FC. Mascots from the under 9s and 11s in Ellie May Bramley and Sally Warsop Hook enjoyed the afternoon warming up and walking out with the 1st team. County were looking to continue with their good form and looking for their 3rd win in a row. On 5 minutes the home side found the net with a delightful little lob over the defence for Courtney Walters to round the defence and get onto the ball to drill it into the bottom corner 1-0. One minute later Courtney doubled her goal tally this time lobbing the keeper 2-0. It wasn’t all one way traffic as Retford were having a better spell as a wide player cut inside for her shot to go over the bar. On 10 minutes Courtney had her hat-trick after Anna Horton in midfield headed the ball over the advancing defence for Courtney to round the keeper 3-0. County continued to flood forward and the 4th came on 20 minutes when a Jasmin Bear cross found Anna Horton on the far post to head the ball to the near post for Perazim Mugadza to head home 4-0. There was a nasty head collision and the game was delayed for a while as the Retford defender had to leave the field of play. County didn’t let up as on 35 mins Anna Horton on the edge of the box had lots of space and on receiving the ball smashed it into the net 5-0. Courtney got her 4th of the afternoon when a defence splitting pass allowing Courtney to run onto and pick out her shot into the far bottom corner 6-0. County were playing great football down the right flank with Serena Mason, Jasmin Bear and Robyn Henton linking up well. Just before the break County defending deeply won the ball and attacked quickly as Anna ran the ball out linked up with April Bingham down the left who cut inside to run at goal to release a low hard shot giving the keeper no chance 7-0.The second period was much of the same as 5 minutes in Anna thumped the ball home from an April Bingham cross 8-0. On 57 minutes a County throw deep in the Retford half was whipped across the box to find Lauren Yeomans on the far post to hit a superb volley 9-0. A change was made as Serena Mason made way for Ellie Marriott, on the 75th minute County went into double figures thanks to April cutting inside from a wide left position finding the far top corner 10-0. A minute later Courtney made it 11 and her 5th of the afternoon with a terrific solo effort straight down the middle 11-0, Minutes later Courtney was subbed for Carolanne Young. On 80 mins Retford won a free kick deep in the County defence. The ball was struck well over into the far post and headed down into the bottom corner for a much deserved consolation goal 11-1. County wrapped up the afternoon when Robyn Henton coolly slotted the ball passed the advancing keeper 12-1. Player of the match was awarded to Anna Horton in midfield for her strong and commanding display. An emphatic and comfortable win by the Magpies at their new Eastwood home, next week the team take on strong opposition in Nettleham Ladies from Lincoln in the league cup 1st round. Nettleham are flying high at the moment beating good opposition and sitting in second position in the regional premier league. Kick off is 1:30pm at Coronation Park

What a result today for the development team, pure guts, determination and never say die attitude with a starting 11 and only 10 at the end. The look on the opposition when Nicola Tomkinson scored following a Jess Wibberley corner in the last second. The team were awesome and committed all through the game and took the lead from a stonewall penalty strike by Jess Wibberley. Eleanor Brooks made some great saves to keep the lead at half time. The second half was tough as they were reduced to 10 players and at one stage only 9 after player of the match Jessie Knott was elbowed in the face. Despite Clifton coming back and scoring 2 goals to take the lead the team never gave up. Finally the goal came when we won a corner following a passing move that involved 7 players. Final score 2-2


Following on from last week’s top class performance against Mansfield Hosiery, the ladies from Notts County travelled to Teversal looking for all the points and putting in a good performance. They didn’t disappoint as after 10 mins Anna Horton found the back of the net from a Jasmin Bear corner 0-1. Notts were playing their football in the Teversal half as Notts were not allowing them out. County were awarded a free kick when Courtney Walters was bundled to the ground, Jasmin stepped up and popped the ball into the far top corner 0-2. On the half hour mark from another Jasmin free kick on the half way line found Courtney who ran at the defence and slotted it passed the advancing keeper 0-3. The fourth goal came from Courtney after good work from Pezamin Mugadza and Jasmin Bear 0-4. Just before the break Lauren Yeomans was through on goal and was brought down in the box and awarded a penalty. Lauren stepped up and fired into the bottom corner 0-5. The second was much of the same and 5 minutes in Courtney got her hat-trick after receiving a delightful pass from Pez 0-6. The roles were reversed minutes later when Courtney set up Pez to roll the ball over the line 0-7. On the hour Lauren got her brace after good link up play from Courtney and Pez 0-8. County wrapped up their afternoon with Courtney hitting her fourth after a goal mouth scramble 0-9. An impressive and commanding performance from the Magpies which was a truly delightful to watch, player of the match was awarded to Androulla Kokkinou for her tireless work and determination. The team are at their new home (Eastwood Town FC) next week as they entertain Retford Utd with a 2pm KO. Senior development team got their first season win today at a blustery Newark Town. A feisty affair in parts and despite the wind the passing and goals scored were a credit to Notts. After a succession of corners Cath Eyley swung one in for Carolanne Young to put in the net 0-1. Terrorising down the left saw Ashleigh Harris bag a cracker inside the near post 0-2. Captain Ellie Marriott worked her socks off with the defenders, Jess Wibberley, Nicola Tomkinson and Jade Shepperd before player of the match Cath Eyley crowned off her performance with a great goal 0-3. Eleanor Brooks and Charley MacLaren shared the goalkeeping duties and despite Newarks second half pressure Notts had the 3 points
